Old aquavit recipes from Gjerøy, about 500 years old, put back together with spices from other parts of the world by Fritjof Strøm. You make the aquavit yourself: one large bag is enough for four 70 cl bottles.
My good friend Hans Christian found the recipes in a book on Gjerøy. They were put back together, and now they are for sale on Gjerøy and in the online shop.
Norwegian spices and ingredients, some brought from far away.
Each year a bottle is set aside, so there is a ten-year-old vintage to taste.
Sherry in the bottle gives a soft, round taste that develops over the years.
